Steven shows how easy it is to make a start in popular technique of focus stacking, used to combine multiple images taken at different focus distances to give a resulting image with a greater depth of field than any of the individual source images.
To speed up the demonstrations screenshots of previously prepared focus stacking exercises have been included in the talk.
The talk is designed to be given within a 1 hour period, before or after a 10 minute tea break, in concert with another 1 hour talk, with the structure:
• Introduction • Motivations • The Theory • Early Days • The Process • Focus Bracketing • Olympus Cameras | • Worked Examples • Hardware • Software • More Examples • Creativity • Final Thoughts |
Plenty of large prints to be viewed at the start of the evening and during the tea break.
